ITP Multiplication Facts

I am remaking the ITPs so that they will work on all modern browsers and tablets. They will remain freely available to all without the need for a subscription. This ITP allows you to represent multiplication as repeated addition using a grid of blocks or counters.It can be used to develop children’s understanding of multiplication and to develop links between the different representations and notation. The dynamic images should help children to understand why 5 x 9 means that the 5 is multiplied by the 9, and to recognise that multiplication is a commutative operation. Classroom use

Use the game as a short warm-up, independent practice station, or end-of-lesson challenge.
Ask the learner to explain one answer after each round instead of focusing only on speed.
Choose the level inside the game that matches the learner’s current objective.
